Better Late Than Never

Ok! It is time to get this blog started. I am embarrassed to be so dysfunctional that I am not documenting my life since starting our family. However, instead of dwelling upon that I will just get going.

We have hysterical and frustrating moments every day with a three year old in the house. :-) she is fabulous and challenging all at the same time. Today she was sweetly helping me with her little brother Giacomo, now 6 months old. She asked if she could lift him and I was right there to help and thought that all was going well as she gently lifted him to the boppy pillow but then she let go and his poor little face went right over the edge of the pillow and plowed into the floor with a horrible thump smack on his nose. He now has a nice mark and I know that it had to have hurt so very much. It was such poor judgement in my part. I still feel really horrible.

Gigi is eating solids now for about 3 weeks or so . Maybe four. I have completely lost track of time because there has not been a night with more than three consecutive hours of sleep, save two , since our return from Italy. John pointed out today that. Maybe it was all of the wine that I was drinking there. I will have to test that theory. Anyway, it is clearly time to get the cry it out going. It is just a challenge because his crying wakes up his sister whose sleeping is tenuous at best as of late.

Lara and Bertram stopped by for a visit from Rhode Island and I am embarrassed at the state of our ability or shall I say lack of ability to provide them a hospitable time. I took Be to Kenzie's first birthday party today and she had a great time. She ate the frosting off f her cupcake and asked for another:-) luckily there were enough other activities to keep her busy and she forgot about it.

Anyway, back to Gigi, he is crawling and now starting to pull himself up on things. He is eating prunes, avocado, sweet potato, cereals, banana and yogurt thus far. Not liking the yogurt though. Sometimes. Can get away with it sometimes with cereal and banana mixed in. He is a great eater and just keeps eati and eating:-) he is so different from Bea in so many ways it constantly surprises me. He l
Ikes al of the toys that she never paid attention to. He likes all things physical. Giggles when you pull on him or wrestle to change diapers, etc. Very funny. Very sweet, happy baby boy.
